I-League champions Aizawl FC have retained 21 year old forward William Lalnunfela for upcoming new 2017/18 season.
Kolasib-born William Lalnunfela started his football career with Pui Pui locally in Mizoram before shifting to Vengthar VC. He was then scouted by former I-League side Pune FC for their Peninsula Pune FC Academy in 2011.
After two years with Pune FC, William Lalnunfela returned to Mizoram to join Chanmari FC and after a season with them he joined Aizawl FC.
And William Lalnunfela became an alltime hero of ‘The People’s Club’ and their fans when he scored the equaliser for Aizawl FC at Shillong Lajong FC to lift the I-League title.
