The Indian Football Aassociation (West Bengal) has been forced to postpone the Kolkata derby between Mohun Bagan vs Mohammedan Sporting in the Calcutta Football League – Premier Divisions ‘A’ by a day from Sunday, September 10 to Monday, September 11.
This enforced postponement on the IFA was due to the fact that the police could not provide necessary security at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium on Sunday due to an internal police examination on the same day.
This means that instead of Sunday, the match would now be held at the same venue, the Kalyani Municipal Stadium, at the same time, 3pm on Monday.
The match is of significance in the race to the Calcutta Football League title as both sides drew their last match, are now chasing seven tile holding champions and with Mohammedan Sporting having lost their opening match against Pathachakra, only a win would keep them in the CFL title challenge.
