IFA (West Bengal) & Goa FA to work together for Indian Football!

The two perennial pillars of Indian football, West Bengal (IFA) and Goa Football Associations have come together to work together.

The Goa Football Association president Dr. Caitano Jose Fernandez, vice-president Anthony Pango and executive committee member Kistodo Fernandez met with the top officials of the IFA at the IFA office in Kolkata on Monday, February 19.

In this meeting, the outline of how the two organizations can work together for the overall development of football was discussed and formulated.

On behalf of the IFA, its president Ajit Bandopadhyay, secretary Anirban Dutta, treasurer Debashish Sarkar, vice-president Sourav Pal, Swarup Biswas, assistant secretary Sufal Ranjan Giri, Subhashis Sarkar, Nazrul Islam were present in the meeting.

Earlier they were felicitated with mementos and wreaths on behalf of IFA.

The Goa Football Association president Dr. Caitano Fernandez was overwhelmed by the warm reception. Regarding the discussion of the meeting, he said that the discussion between the two main forces of Indian football has been very fruitful. The two organizations will make efforts to develop these areas of football such as exchange between players of different age groups, refereeing, coaches development, women’s football, grassroots development. He believes that this cooperation of the two premier state bodies of Indian football will create a new chapter in Indian football in the days to come.
