India international Rahul Bheke leaves Bengaluru FC!

Former Indian Super League champions Bengaluru FC (BFC) have announced the departure of defender Rahul Bheke.

The 30-year-old spent four seasons at the club and made 88 appearances with 12 goals to his name. Bheke’s most important goal came in the final of the 2018/19 ISL final against FC Goa in Mumbai.

The India international has played for the Blues mainly as a right-back and centre-back, but has helped out as a left-back.

Rahul Bheke said on social media about his departure, “It’s been a journey full of emotions, wins, losses & learning’s. It’s been immense, it’s been intense, it’s been exciting & it’s been such an amazing journey. There might be a lot of memories to cherish.”

Rahul Bheke has been one of numerous players leaving Bengaluru FC at the end of the 2020/21 season besides retiring Dimas Delgado, Harmanjot Singh Khabra and Thongkhosiem ‘Semboi’ Haokip.
