India U-17 team arrive in Germany, train at the DFB Campus!

The India U-17 national team is preparing for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup in Thailand and spend a day today, May 16 at the DFB Campus in Frankfurt.

The India U-17 boys spent the past few weeks as guests of Atlético de Madrid and flew to Germany before training at the DFB Campus pitches on Tuesday afternoon. The 32-member delegation will spend 18 days in Germany and, after their stay at the DFB, will visit VfB Stuttgart and FC Augsburg.

“The visit of the Indian U17 team is a testimony to the good relations between the All India Football Federation and the DFB,” said Christina Gassner, DFB Director of Institutional and Political Relations and Strategy. “We wish the team all the best for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup and are determined to continue the dialogue with our Indian friends constructively.”

The DFB and the AIFF had signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) during a meeting in New Delhi in November 2019, and in September 2022 the DFL and the Indian Super League concluded a cooperation agreement.
