The new 2018 Indian Women’s League champions Rising Student’s Club returned on Monday, April 16 morning to a grand reception at the Biju Patnaik airport in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Cuttack-based Rising Student’s Club had beaten defending champions Eastern Sporting Union of Manipur in the final on penalties at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on Saturday, April 13.
At the airport the Rising Student’s Club contingent were welcomed by the Football Association of Odisha (FAO) vice-president Bhakta Ballav Das, FAO joint-secretary Sangeeta Sharma, local women’s coaches Sradhanjali Samantray and Gitanjali Khuntia besides Sunil Mitra and Sibu Prakash Ghosh.
