The seventh day of the preliminary round of the inaugural edition of the Indian Women’s League saw Jeppiaar FC scoring a 3-0 upset win over KRYHPSA FC, while Alakhpura FC scored a massive 18-0 win over Royal Wahingdoh FC.
Manipuri side KRYHPSA FC suffered a rather surprising 0-3 loss to Jeppiaar FC, who went ahead through a R. Sandhya goal in the second minute of the first half injury time and KRYHPSA FC never recovered from this shock as Indumati scored two more goals in the 55th and 75th minutes for Jeppiaar FC.
The Player of the Match award went of Jeppiaar FC’s R. Nathiya.
In another one sided game in the Indian Women’s League qualifiers, Haryana’s Alakhpura FC scored an emphatic 18-0 win over Royal Wahingdoh FC of Meghalaya.
Alakhpura FC’s goalscorers were Kavita Devi in the 4th, 45th, 61st, 77th minutes; Sanju in the 9th, 10th, 13rd, 15th, 33rd, 53rd, 56th minutes; Deepika in the 18th, 36th, 62nd, 90th, 90th+1 minutes; and Mamita in the 57th, 69th minutes.
Alakhpura FC’s Sanju, who scored seven goals, was named Player of the Match.
