ISL-4: South African winger Sameehg Doutie leaves champions ATK to join Jamshedpur FC!

Indian Super League newcomers Jamshedpur FC have signed South African winger Sameehg Doutie, who over the last two seasons had played for ATK and had won ISL-3.

28 year old Cape Town-born has come through the Academy of Ajax Cape Town and also made his professional debut for the club. Sameehg then spend a season with the Orlando Pirates before switching to Supersport United. In early 2015 he went on loan to Bidest Wits and joined Atletico de Kolkata ahead of the ISL-2 season.

Sameehg Doutie returned to India for ISL-3, which Atletico de Kolkata (now ATK) went on to win with Doutie an important player in the success of the club.

The first half of 2017, Sameehg Doutie spend at his childhood club Ajax Cape Town and now returns to India to join a new team in Jamshedpur FC.

Interestingly at Jamshedpur FC, Sameehg Doutie will link-up with manager Steve Coppell and assistant coach Ishfaq Ahmed, who both were on the losing side Kerala Blasters of the ISL-3 final with Ishfaq forced to play left-back against Sameehg Doutie due to injury concerns.
