In their opening match of ISl-5, Delhi Dynamos FC and FC Pune City played out a 1-1 draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday evening.
After chances at both ends with more of them for the guests from Pune came the 44th minute and a brilliant long-range strike by debutant Rana Gharami to give the Dynamos a 1-0 half-time lead.
In the second session, the Delhi Dynamos had numerous opportunities to double their lead, but after missing numerous chances the conceded a late 88th minute equaliser when substitute Diego Carlos blasted one in for FC Pune City. It stayed 1-1 until the end.
After only a game both teams now have a break due to India’s international match in China on October 13 with Delhi Dynamos set to face ATK on October 17, while FC Pune City travel to Mumbai City FC on October 19 for this seaons first Maha derby.
