ISL-5: NorthEast United FC held by Jamshedpur FC to 1-1 draw!

High flying NorthEast United FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Jamshedpur FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Thursday evening.

After some early chances, Bartholomew Ogbeche with his fifth goal of ISL-5 gave NorthEast United FC a 20th minute lead.

The Highlanders were down to 10 men when defender Mislav Komorski was given marching orders for a foul on Carlos Calvo on the brink of half-time as they took the 1-0 lead into the break.

But Jamshedpur FC quickly hit back after the restart as Farukh Choudhary scored his first ISL goal off a Pablo Morgado cross.

With the extra player on the field, the guests had more of the ball and better chances but the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

Jamshedpur FC will host the Kerala Blasters on October 29, while NorthEast United FC have to travel to face Delhi Dynamos the very next day.
