The 10th match of ISL 2019-20 is set to take place at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur as Jamshedpur FC host debutantes Hyderabad FC on Tuesday. Having never lost any of the four encounters in the ISL, Hyderabad FC (formerly FC Pune City) will be traveling to Jamshedpur with a psychological advantage. However, kicking our ISL 2019-20 campaign off with a win over Odisha FC, Jamshedpur FC will be raring to go and keep the ball rolling.
Jamshedpur FC are currently placed third, while the visitors are at the bottom on the ISL points table. Before traveling to the Furnace, Hyderabad FC had a rough start to their ISL season after losing out to a whopping 0-5 scoreline against two time ISL champions ATK.
With Bikash Jairu being unavailable for this fixture due to his suspension against Odisha FC, fan favourite C.K. Vineeth might get the nod for his Jamshedpur FC debut. The Spanish contingent entailing the likes of Sergio Castel, Piti, Noe Acosta and Aitor Monrory, has proven to be lethal as seen in Jamshedpur FC’s opening fixture on October 22.
The club has never made it to the semifinals of the ISL in its three seasons however head coach, Antonio Irondo, would be looking to change that particular statistic this time around. The squad has shown signs of promise and strength, and coach Antonio, along with his coaching staff, will certainly look to capitalise on the positives from ISL 2019-20.
‘Indian Spiderman’ Subrata Paul will bring in an abundance of experience between the sticks, while there is a good chance of the backline undergoing a change in personnel in the absence of experienced defender Bikash Jairu. Coupled with Tiri in the heart of the Jamshedpur FC defence, the duo could turn out to be fatal for the opposition’s attacking force.
