Jamshedpur FC demolish Odisha FC 4-0 in clinical performance!

Jamshedpur FC demolished Odisha FC 4-0 on a night to remember at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco on Tuesday night.

Odisha FC kicked-off the game but Jamshedpur FC were the first ones to make an instant early impact with a goal in the first three minutes itself. After being awarded the corner from an attack, Greg Stewart lobbed the ball into the far post where the skipper Peter Hartley was positioned who headed the ball into the net, giving the team an early lead. Not even a minute passed and Jamshedpur FC did the unbelievable as they scored another goal to double their lead in the first five minutes of the game. Greg with the ball in the midfield, switched the ball to his right with a chop and looked at the goalkeeper who was off his line, to pull the trigger from a long range which flew right into the top corner which could not be stopped by the Odisha FC goalkeeper; Greg doubled the lead in the very next play.

The Men of Steel did not stop there and heavily bossed the game with continuous threatening counter-attacks and a tight defence as well. One of the counter-attacks ended in another stunning goal from the Jamshedpur FC side. A free-kick was awarded right outside the box to the Men of Steel and Greg stepped up to take it. The Scottish Premiership winner showed his experience and prowess, and netted a stunning free-kick right into the bottom-left corner which the goalkeeper could not get his hands on even after making a dive to the right direction. With that goal, Jamshedpur FC went three goals up in just 20 minutes of the first half. The Men of Steel showed absolute domination all over the pitch and denied every opportunity that the Juggernauts created.

The Jamshedpur FC squad were in complete attack mode and didn’t let any shot be taken on goal. As the game entered its half hour mark, Greg showed his attacking prowess once again and netted his third goal of the game to become the first player to score the first hattrick of the 2021-22 season; he also became the first Jamshedpur FC player to score a hattrick. The Scottish midfielder ruled the attacking third with three goals and one assist in the first half as the 45 minutes came to an end with Jamshedpur on a four goal lead.

The second half began with Odisha FC on a hunt to score some goals and bring some hope back into the game, but Jamshedpur FC did not let the Juggernauts attack break through the defence even one bit. The second half grew aggressive as the Odisha FC side put in some harsh fouls, but were held back at every opportunity by the Men of Steel despite their rough plays. The Jamshedpur FC side almost netted their fifth goal of the game with a stunning open play by the attackers; Komal took a quick run from the flank into the box and passed it in the middle to which Valskis left the ball and deceived the Odisha FC defence and an unmarked Greg received the ball. He faked a shot to beat a defender, and shot on target but he was denied by the Odisha goalkeeper thus keeping the scoresheet to 4-0. The Juggernauts tried their best to score a goal with numerous shots from the middle, but Rehenesh was determined to grab a clean sheet tonight.

The match ended exactly the way the Men of Steel desired it to be with a whooping final time score of 4-0. The Jamshedpur FC squad showed absolute dominance and quality on the pitch against Odisha FC and grabbed a clear win to move up the table to the second position with the three winning points in hand.
