Jamshedpur FC end pre-season campaign with Real Kashmir FC win!

The Men of Steel closed their pre-season with a victory against Real Kashmir FC. Chima, Eli Sabia and Farukh registered their name on the scoresheet, thus leading to the team’s 3-0 victory.

After winning their previous pre-season friendly against Sreenidi Deccan, the Jamshedpur side was back in action at the Flatlet ground. For their final game of the pre-season campaign, the Men of Steel hosted the I-League side, Real Kashmir FC. Gaffer, Aidy Boothroyd played Peter, Eli, Wellington and Chima as his choice of foreigners

A minute’s silence was observed before kick-off by both sides to pay their respects to Jamshedpur FC’s Laldinpuia who lost his younger brother.

The game began in Jamshedpur FC’s favour as they unleashed a couple of attacks right from the get-go. Jamshedpur aimed at taking the lead over the visitors before closing the first half of their final pre-season. The Men of Steel’s constant attacks proved beneficial for them as forward, Chima came through with the opener from a corner kick. With the lead in hand, Jamshedpur FC didn’t take long to double their as Eli Sabia netted his first of the pre-season for his side.

After dominating the first period of the game, the second half kicked off with the Men of Steel sitting on a 2-goal lead over Real Kashmir FC. The pacy winger, Farukh extended the lead with a banger of a goal. The ball was laid to him outside the box as he fired an unstoppable shot into the top corner to make it 3 for the Men of Steel.

The final game of Jamshedpur FC’s pre-season campaign ended on a high note as they walked out victorious with 3 goals in the bag and a clean sheet against Real Kashmir FC.

Next, the defending ISL League winners will now be stepping into the anticipated ISL 2022-23 season at the Furnace. Jamshedpur FC will kick off their season on the 11th of October, 2022 against Odisha FC at 7:30pm.
