Jamshedpur FC host Mumbai City FC to maintain unbeaten record!

Heading into their fixture against Jamshedpur FC, unbeaten in the last four of their fixtures, Mumbai City FC will not be an easy side to face, mentally. The Islanders became the only club in the Indian Super League (ISL) to have 10 different players involved in the team’s goalscoring.

Jorge Costa and co. will travel to the Furnace after defeating reigning ISL champions Bengaluru FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Sunday. The last time the Blues faced a loss at their Fortress was when Chennaiyin FC beat them there in the 2017-18 ISL final. Be it defence, midfield, or attack, the Islanders have had goals flying in from all departments on the field. This will certainly add to their mental strength while facing Jamshedpur FC, who are yet to be defeated at home.

Out of the five fixtures Jamshedpur FC have played at the Furnace, they have not lost a single one. While the visitors have been in an unbeaten form on the road, the Mumbai-based ISL outfit have never defeated Jamshedpur FC in the history of the Indian Super League. Coach Antonio Iriondo’s men will be determined to keep that statistic unchanged this Thursday.

In spite of losing out a couple of prominent players due to injury, the home team has fought hard and maintained their spotless record at home in the 2019/20 season, thus far. With a powerhouse of a midfield, a rock-solid defence, and a young attack, the hosts have a balance of talent at their disposal, one that has proven their worth time and again. Antonio Iriondo will be looking to extend the team’s unbeaten spree at home, come Thursday.

The action kicks off at the JRD Tata Sports Complex at 7:30pm tomorrow, and will be televised across the Star Sports Network and Hotstar.
