Jamshedpur FC score big Sikkim Aakraman SC win in friendly!

Jamshedpur FC secured 10-0 victory against Sikkim Aakraman SC in their final pre-season friendly match at the Flatlets Training Ground in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Scott Cooper’s men dominated the game right from the start, leaving their opponents no breathing space.

Being a pre-season friendly, the match was played in three periods of 45 minutes, making it a 135 minutes game to give maximum players the opportunity to play as many minutes as possible.

Jamshedpur FC saw Daniel Chima in action for the first time this pre-season, as he scored a hat-trick in the 12th, 21st, and 35th minutes, with Nongdamba Naorem’s adding a fourth to give the hosts a four-goal lead at the end of the first period.

At the beginning of the second period, Laldinpuia Pachuau (Dinpuia) scored the fifth goal in the 57th minute. Jamshedpur’s latest signing, Thongkhosiem Haokip, netted two goals in the 68th and 98th minutes, and Emil Benny added another in the 78th minute, providing both with an excellent opportunity to get accustomed to the coach’s tactics and to gel with their teammates on the pitch. The youngest player, Mohammed Sanan, sealed the victory with two more goals, resulting in a final score of 10-0.

The game served as a valuable warm-up game for the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 campaign, which begins for Jamshedpur FC on September 25, when the Men of Steel travel to Kolkata to face East Bengal in their first match of the season.

Jamshedpur FC will play their first home game of the season on October 5 against Hyderabad FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex with all the action available to watch live on JioCinema and Sports-18.
