Jamshedpur FC score convincing 3-1 win over Hyderabad FC!

Jamshedpur FC continued their convincing start to the ISL-6 season with a 3-1 win over Hyderabad FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Tuesday.

Jamshedpur FC started the match dominating proceedings with an attacking mindset. Piti given an advanced role was creating chance after chance and Jamshedpur FC had their first shot on target at the 8th minute when Isaac took a shot outside the box for it to be saved by Kamaljit. A minute later Mobashir Rahman, starting his first-ever game for Jamshedpur FC put in a delightful long cross which found Farukh with pin point accuracy. Farukh’s close range attempt was brilliantly saved yet again by Kamaljit Singh. Piti was at it again as his cross to Memo was effectively headed on to Farukh who came inches close to scoring.

Jamshedpur FC were finally rewarded for their relentless attack. Piti got past one defender and moved into the box and then fired a powerful shot towards goal but the goalkeeper pushed it out, but not out of danger. Farukh Choudhary got to the ball quickly and put it behind the goalie and into the net to score his first goal of the season. Soon after, Sergio presented Piti with another opportunity only for it to be struck wide of the goal. However, just when the match seemed to be going into half-time with Jamshedpur FC clearly the better side and dominating proceedings, Marcelinho received a through ball from Rohit Kumar. He dribbled past the defence with ease and slotted in the shot at the near post, equalising against the run of play and ending the half at 1-1.

The goal gave Hyderabad FC much needed momentum as they started the second half strong. Marcelinho was the chief constructor of their attacking plays. There was a period when both teams needed to up the ante in the second half and both the teams made their first substitution. Jamshedpur FC brought in the attacking Aniket Jadhav in place of Isaac.

Just in, Aniket was presented with perhaps the best opportunity of the match. Farukh Choudhary put Sergio Castel through on the left-hand side of the box. Sergio drilled it across the face of goal towards Aniket whose headed effort went over the bar. It was a tough skill but he should have hit the target there. Nevertheless, he was given another opportunity four minutes later when Keegan Pereira put a through ball to Farukh Choudhary on the left flank. Choudhary drilled the ball low into the box where Aniket took a touch and hammered it in the top right corner and scored the first ISL goal of his career.

Jamshedpur FC were not slowing down as they needed another goal to shut the match down. Enter Sergio Castel, the winning goal scorer of their last encounter. Memo Moura put in a lovely ball over the top which was chested down by Castel. He still had a lot of work to do as he had to beat two defenders in front of him. He twisted and turned, had a defender down on the ground and then took a delightful touch to his right, past the keeper and into the net. His cool and calm composure in front of the goal was a treat for the eyes of a football fan. He has now scored in consecutive games and helped Jamshedpur towards victory on both occasions. The last 15 minutes were pretty much the same with Jamshedpur FC completely controlling the match and seeing out the match at 3-1.

Jamshedpur FC are now top of the table with six points from two matches.
