Jamshedpur FC’s Alen Stevanovic ahead of their ISL-10 opener!

Jamshedpur FC midfielder Alen Stevanovic, who will also be leading the side as captain, spoke to the press ahead of the big clash in Kolkata versus East Bengal FC.

On what motivated him to join Jamshedpur FC and how he has settled till now…

Yes, this is a new club for me in a new country. Making this choice was easy for me because, after the first conversation with our coach, it was easy to understand his football philosophy and determination to succeed. Making this decision was basically a matter of speaking with my family, and after just one minute, we decided to make this choice. I was looking forward to coming here, and now, after almost two months of preseason, which I believe was great, we are ready for our first game tomorrow.

On being one of the more experienced players and guiding the young stars of the club…

Certainly, yes. I consider myself fortunate to have played in many countries, starting with Italy, where I spent almost seven years. I also had the opportunity to play in Japan. As a result, I have accumulated a wealth of experience and had the privilege of working with many coaches, including some big names in football.

Sharing knowledge and experience is an integral part of my role. I am committed to contributing fully to the staff, young players, and veterans alike. I will certainly share all my experiences, offer advice, and lead by example in training and during matches.

Jamshedpur FC will kick off their campaign away in Kolkata vs East Bengal FC on Monday, September 25 at 8pm.

The action from this ISL encounter will be broadcast LIVE on Jio Cinema, Sports 18 and Sports 18 Khel (in Hindi).
