Your thoughts on the first fixture against Odisha FC?
Well, it’s been one and a half months of pre-season and we’ve worked really hard. All the boys are geared up and ready as we all are looking forward to the season. Obviously, our first game is against Odisha FC, which is a young side. All the young Indians are there in the team, so it’ll be a tough game but hopefully, we can get the first three points at home. We can’t wait to play with the fans in the stadium.
On the team’s excitement as the season is finally back among the fans?
Personally, I’m really excited and I’m sure all the players are excited too because for the past two seasons we couldn’t be among the fans and now that we are getting to play among the fans, so it will be massive for sure. I’m really happy about it and I know they are too. Their presence and their support can make a lot of difference. And as I always say, football is nothing without the fans.
On the preparations of the team ahead of the first fixture?
Well, I would say we are really well prepared. We’ve worked hard in the pre-season, in the gym and on the pitch as well. Obviously, we’ve gone out of Jamshedpur to play a few games in our preseason campaign. We’ve also played a few friendlies here in Jamshedpur and I would say the team looks good. We’ve gained a lot of confidence and we are looking forward to the first game against Odisha FC.

Hello, fans. I’m really excited to see you all at the Furnace. Not getting the chance to play in front of you for the past two seasons has made a lot of difference and everyone in the team are excited to see you at the Furnace. Hopefully, we can see a full-packed stadium tomorrow as we play against Odisha FC. I can’t wait to see you all.
