Jamshedpur FC’s Javi Siverio speaks before Mumbai City FC game!

Jamshedpur FC striker Javi Siverio spoke to the media ahead of the Indian Super League clash against Mumbai City FC.

On his move to Jamshedpur FC…

To be frank, the decision happened swiftly. There wasn’t much contemplation because I was aware of their interest, and joining the team was something I desired. Considering they are the recent winners of the ISL Shield, it was a clear choice. Moreover, I believe I can enhance my skills and secure the playing time that I lacked in my previous club, especially in this ISL season. The coach expressed a desire to have me. I’ve known the coach for quite some time, dating back to my first year when he was with the North East. Familiar with his team’s playing style and his coaching approach, I’m genuinely pleased to have him as the head coach. Let’s hope everything unfolds positively.

In his previous encounter against Jamshedpur FC…

I am aware that this team holds a champion status, and I have experience being part of champion teams as well. I believe, collectively, we can accomplish significant achievements as a team. My primary purpose here is to contribute through my efforts, and if that includes scoring goals, all the better. I faced Jamshedpur in the first league game, which ended in a tough 0-0 draw. Now, in the Super Cup, the conditions were different as we had six foreigners compared to Jamshedpur’s initial four, later reduced to three due to an injury. Despite that, they competed fiercely, making it a difficult game for us. Fortunately, we managed to score early in the second half, but overall, it was a tough match with Jamshedpur creating their opportunities.

Message to the fans…

To the fans who come out to cheer for us, I am well aware of their loud and energetic presence. Although I’ve only played once in the furnace, it was an incredible experience with a full house. As a player, I desired to experience that atmosphere again.
