Jamshedpur FC’s Steve Ambri speaks before Kerala Blasters FC game!

Jamshedpur FC striker Steve Ambri spoke to the media ahead of the Kalinga Super Cup clash against Kerala Blasters FC.

A Remarkable Comeback

Ambri’s recent performance against NorthEast United, where he contributed with one goal and an assist, not only marked a significant comeback for the player but also added depth and resilience to Jamshedpur’s gameplay. When asked about his feelings regarding this performance, Ambri acknowledged the positive step but emphasized the need to reach his full potential in the second part of the season, highlighting its importance for the team’s overall success.

“It’s better, but I have to come back 100% for the second part of the season which will be important for the team,” Ambri stated, showcasing his commitment to further elevate his performance for the benefit of Jamshedpur FC.

Adapting to Khalid Jamil’s Leadership

The introduction of Khalid Jamil as the head coach has brought a fresh perspective to Jamshedpur FC. Ambri spoke positively about the coach’s integration into the team and the reciprocal understanding between the players and the coaching staff. The player expressed his satisfaction with the first two weeks under Jamil, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and team cohesion.

“This is good for the coach; it is well integrated into the team, and vice versa for the players. We have gotten to know each other, and it is going well,” Ambri remarked, hinting at a harmonious atmosphere within the squad.

Facing Kerala Blasters FC

The upcoming clash against Kerala Blasters FC poses a significant challenge for Jamshedpur, considering Kerala’s strong contention for the league shield in the ISL. Ambri acknowledged the quality of the opposition but remained optimistic about his team’s chances. When asked about the difference between playing a cup game and a league match, Ambri downplayed the distinction, asserting his confidence in Jamshedpur FC’s capabilities.

“Yes, it’s a good team, but we are also a good team. There is no difference for me. The match will be played for 90 minutes, and we will give everything to win it. I have confidence in our team,” Ambri asserted, displaying a determined mindset ahead of the crucial encounter.
