VfB Stuttgart have extended Enzo Millot’s contract, tying the French U-21 international to the club until June 30, 2028.
Enzo Millot has established himself as an important first-team player since joining Stuttgart from French top-flight side AS Monaco in mid-August 2021. The attacking midfielder played a key role in keeping VfB in the Bundesliga last season, scoring twice in the return leg of the relegation play-off against Hamburger SV. Millot has picked up where he left off this season, registering three goals and four assists in the Bundesliga and DFB German Cup so far.
In total the 21-year-old has made 43 top-flight appearances and seven DFB Cup outings since making his VfB debut on August 20, 2021. Last year, he was named in France’s U21 squad for the first time.
VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth said, “We’re delighted that Enzo Millot has extended his contract with us ahead of schedule. Enzo has been one of the driving forces behind our successful first half of the season. His personal development has been remarkable. As a very young player, he’s succeeded in becoming a reliable key player and has regularly scored goals at crucial moments. His exceptional qualities will hopefully help us continue our success story in the new year.”
Enzo Millot said, “I’m very happy to have extended my contract until 2028. Our fans and our stadium have played a big part [in my decision]. The atmosphere at home games is incredible. We have a top team, a great coach and have played very well in matches recently – that’s why I’ve decided to extend my stay at VfB.”
