Jamshedpur Sporting Association Team were crowned Champions of the Inter-District Football Tournament as they beat Godda DFA 5-0 at Garhwa.
JSA team were right on top of their game from the onset and did not let their opponents breathe. Ghanshyam Murmu striked right at the start of the game and scored in the 14th minute. Vikash Nayak scored the second goal of the day at the 28th minute followed by Haju Soren at the 44th minute. This led to the end of the first half in 3-0.
In the second half, Sadhu Mardi scored in the 71st minute followed by another goal by Vikash Nayak in the 86th minute and thus sealed the victory for the JSA team making them the Champions of Jharkhand.
Lalhriatpuia Chawnghthu was awarded Man of the Match and Vikash Nayak was awarded the Man of the Series of the tournament. The Head Coach Jogesh Sharma led the team to victory along with the Team Manager Amrisen Sundi.
