Jean-Matteo Bahoya joins Eintracht Frankfurt!

The France Under-19 international Jean-Mattéo Bahoya has moved to Eintracht Frankfurt from Angers SCO with immediate effect, signing a contract valid until June 30, 2029.

Jean-Mattéo Bahoya was born in Montfermeil, on the outskirts of Paris in 2005 and played for Sporting Club de l’Ouest from the age of nine. He struck 30 goals in 25 games for the club’s U17 side in 2019/20 en route to finishing as top scorer that season.

The new Eintracht No.19 made his senior debut in Ligue 1 in February last year, one of 32 appearances the 18-year-old made across the top two French divisions and in the domestic cup competition. Bahoya, who can play in a variety of positions across the attack, registered five goals and two assists in that time.

Furthermore, the right-footer has earned four caps for France’s U-19 side so far.

Eintracht Frankfurt board member for sport Markus Krösche said, “Jean-Mattéo Bahoya is one of the most promising young talents in France and fits the profile we were looking for. His pace and directness in the final third will benefit our attack.”
