Joma to be 2.Bundesliga side Arminia Bielefeld’s new kit supplier!

Spanish sporting goods manufacturer Joma Sport will be the new supplier of German 2.Bundesliga side DSC Arminia Bielefeld from next season.

In addition to the agreed sponsorship and hospitality activities, Joma will supply DSC’s professional players, youth teams, as well as the women’s teams, from this summer. This order extends, in addition to shirts, shorts and socks to DSC’s training clothing and the players’ suits for special occasions.

Joma, founded in 1965 in Portillo (Toledo, Spain), supplies more than 300 football teams worldwide. Its main activity is concentrated in Europe and South America. In addition to being in partnership with some national sides, Joma also supports prestigious football clubs such as Villareal CF, RCD Espanyol, UD Sampdoria, Swansea City AFC or Toulouse FC.

Moreover, Joma supplies other team sports clubs and numerous Olympic teams – among them Spain, Mexico and Portugal – and is also involved in individual sports, such as tennis or cycling.

Gerrit Meinke, general director of Arminia Bielefeld said, “In numerous interviews, whether in Bielefeld or on-site in Spain, we have been able to develop a feeling for a good and reliable partnership and we are delighted with our cooperation with this innovative partner. Our players and fans will receive both modern, high quality T-shirts, as well as collections. My thanks today, go the company Sport-Saller, who has assisted us as a supplier, over the last twelve years, not only in good times but especially in tough times, with the team going from the National League down to 3rd division.”

Hendrik Schiphorst, Executive Vice President of German football in Lagardère Sports, “We are glad to have found in Joma a renowned supplier for DSC, and one which is already very active at the international level and has partnerships with more than 300 clubs. Joma’s decision highlights DSC’s attractiveness together with the strength and the compelling pulling power of the club as a platform for communication, contributing in this way to help it achieve its goal when creating the brand, as well as the brand’s image in Germany. DSC will also benefit from this decision and can rely on having a good partner.”

Alberto López, head of sponsorship of international clubs, “This new agreement is for Joma a proof of the brand’s commitment, to expanding in Germany and in European football. DSC Arminia is one of Germany’s historic teams with a great tradition and we are very proud to link our brand to such a prestigious team.”
