The new first shirt for Hibernian FC continues with the tradition of having a completely remodelled design.
The green and white will continue to be their distinguishing feature for another season, as has been the case since the club was founded in 1875. Since 2021, Joma has supported Hibernian FC as their technical sponsor, providing the best materials for all their competitions and helping to improve the players’ performance. As a result, the current aesthetics retain the colours that have been part of the Hibernian FC uniform for more than a century. The essence of the uniforms is reflected by combining them with updated aspects and with an elegant style in recycled fabric. To provide a special and modern touch, a Jacquard finish has been applied that creates a fine detail on the material and which, at the same time, helps to get rid of perspiration.
As for the club emblems, the shield appears on the front in an elegant embroidery. And, to give the shirt even more personality, “SINCE 1875” is printed inside the neck.
What’s more, the garment design has used the standard pattern to contribute to the comfort and freedom of movement required by the players at Hibernian FC. It has a ribbed V neck and ribbed cuffs for a comfortable fit. It comes in green and white, to fit in with the rest of the aesthetics.
An eco-friendly t-shirt for a sustainable planet
For the new kit, Joma has reaffirmed its commitment to caring for the environment by using 100% recycled polyester elastics. Most Joma kits already use this fabric. It is made from recycled sources, especially PET bottles, which become the raw material. This reduces CO2 emissions by 75% of CO2 and avoids the use of oil.
As for the benefits when exercising, recycled polyester provides elasticity, resistance and good breathability.
The best technologies on the market
Sports expert Joma has incorporated the most cutting-edge technologies into the Hibernian CF kit. This is the result of significant investment in R+D+i over recent years. The products that will be sold to the general public also adhere to these quality standards.
Firstly, VTS technology is used throughout the whole garment to help any moisture to evaporate quickly. This consists of tiny perforations that help to regulate the accumulation of moisture. Furthermore, each piece of fabric has been joined using the FLATLOCK seam system, which prevents chafing on the skin and enhances comfort during play.
