Joma and CD Leganés launch the new kit which the team will wear for the coming season 2023/2024. The design is a tribute to the team of the 1992/93 season, which achieved promotion to the second division for the first time in the club’s history, 30 years ago.
In line with the traditional CD Leganés kit, the club will continue with the legacy of white and blue as its hallmark, as has been a tradition since 1954. The brand and the club collaborated closely on its development and production. The kit retains its essence while combining updated features and an elegant style and is made using recycled fabric. The first CD Leganés T-shirt is once again bathed in white and blue stripes, embodied in an elegant and classic design with a polo shirt collar.
The club shield is embroidered to add a more sophisticated touch to the elastic. In addition, it incorporates the small printed legend “1993-2023”, with which they want to pay homage to the team of the 1992/93 season, which achieved promotion to the Second Division for the first time in the history of C.D. Leganés and put the city on the map of professional football.
An eco-friendly t-shirt for a sustainable planet
For the new kit, Joma has reaffirmed its commitment to caring for the environment by using 100% recycled polyester elastics. Most Joma kits already use this fabric. It is made from recycled sources, especially PET bottles, which become the raw material. This reduces CO2 emissions by 75% and avoids the use of oil.
As for the benefits when exercising, recycled polyester provides elasticity, resistance and good breathability.
