Mumbai City FC can confirm that Argentine forward Jorge Pereyra Díaz will leave the club after his contract expires on May 31, 2024. Díaz arrived on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.
In both seasons, Díaz was instrumental in helping the Islanders clinch silverware, as the team won the ISL League Winners’ Shield in 2022/23 and then went on to win the ISL Cup in 2023/24.
In 53 appearances for the side, the forward found the back of the net 27 times and registered 10 assists for the Islanders. Díaz has been a regular feature in his two seasons with the team, and the Islanders are thankful for his contributions to the club.
