Karnataka State FA to kickoff Karnataka Women’s Super Division League 2022/23!

The Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) will be kicking-off its fifth edition of the Karnataka Women’s Super Division League 2022/23 (KWL) on Sunday, August 21.

Three time champions Kickstart FC will be looking to clinch the title for the fourth time in a row.

Kickstart FC, Misaka United FC, Kemp FC, Maatrupratishtana FC, Parikrma FC, Rebels Women’s FC, Modern Girls FC, Pink Panthers FC, and Roots FC are the nine teams participating in this edition of the league.

In every match, the best player will receive a Rs 2,000 voucher from Plaeto and Rs 1,000 voucher from Barley & Grapes Cafe.

The Competition is being played in a single-leg round-robin format hence giving each team a minimum of eight games. A total of 38 – 42 matches will be played and the tournament is scheduled to finish around the October 10, 2022.

N.A. Haris, the Karnataka State FA president and IVLA of Shantinagar, Bengaluru said, “the KWL is back for the fifth time and this year it’s gotten bigger attracting more players from across the nation. I wish each participant the very best of luck.”

This season, all teams will be donning the #NoFoulPlay logo on the right hand sleeve of their jersey in support of indiscrimination, anti-sexism, and equality. This #NoFoulPlay campaign was launched recently under the agies of KSFA.

In Sunday’s opening matches Kemp FC will face Rebels Women’s FC at 2pm while Roots FC will face Misaka United FC at 4pm.
