Goalkeeper Jonas Nickisch will leave RB Leipzig to join 1.FC Köln. His contract is set to run out on June 30, 2023 and will not be renewed.
The Dresden native moved to Leipzig in summer 2017 to join the RBL academy and was part of the first-team squad for the 2022/23 season. The 19-year-old was included in ten matchday squads this season, but did not feature.
Nickisch made 20 appearances for the RBL U-19s this season, including two games in the UEFA Youth League. He made his debut for the Germany U-19s on May 10, 2023 in a 0-0 draw against Denmark U-19s.
