Indian Super League franchise Hyderabad FC and their goalkeeper Laxmikant Kattimani have extended the contract by a year until summer 2021.
31 year old Cansaulim-born Laxmikant Kattimani played local football in Goa before making his senior debut for Vasco SC. After only a season, he moved on to Goan giants Dempo SC and spend seven seasons with them unti 2016.
With the ISL kicking off in 2014, he spend five seasons with FC Goa with a loan spell at Mumbai FC before moving to newly founded Hyderabad FC in the summer of 2019.
Laxmikant Kattimani said, “I’m really happy to extend my stay at Hyderabad FC. I am very grateful for the faith shown in me by the management. I think towards the end of the last season, we showed a lot of improvement as a team. There was a change in approach and I hope that we can build on that in the upcoming season. The fans have been great in our debut season, and I hope they will keep supporting us.”
Laxmikant Kattimani is the latest player to extend his contract with Hyderabad FC following Adil Khan, Mohammed Yasir, Asish Rai, Nikhil Poojary, Dimple Bhagat and Abhishek Halder.
