Kerala Blasters sign midfielder Darren Caldeira!

Indian Super League franchise Kerala Blasters have announced the signing of midfielder Darren Caldeira for the 2019/20 season.

31 year old Mumbai-born Darren Caldeira brings a lot of I-League experience to the Blasters. After spending time with disbanded Mahindra United at youth level, Darren played for Air India, Mumbai FC (twice), Bengaluru FC (twice), and Chennai City FC over seven seasons until 2017.

Darren then signed for ATK in ISL-4 but got limited playing time to move to I-League side Mohun Bagan for the 2018/19 season.

Darren Caldeira said, “I’m delighted to be wearing yellow this season. It is a great time to be part of a club that has a clear set of objectives they wish to achieve with an accomplished coach and a new set of players.”

Kerala Blasters new head coach Eelco Schattorie said, “Darren (Caldeira) is a very consistent and stable player who can play all over the midfield. His experience with several ISL and I-league clubs will surely be an asset to the team. Moreover, he has proven to be a team-player with a great attitude.”
