Kerala Blasters sign striker & winger Seiminlen Doungel!

Indian Super League franchise Kerala Blasters have announced the signing of winger and striker Seiminlen Doungel from NorthEast United FC.

24 year old Saikul-born Seiminlen Doungel started to play locally in Manipur before moving to the JCT Football Academy in Phagwara, Punjab.

Seiminlen Doungel, known in short as Len, made his professional debut at East Bengal Club in the 2011/12 season.

He spend time on loan with the Pailan Arrows (Indian Arrows) before moving to Shillong Lajong FC in 2014. He went on loan to NorthEast United FC in ISL-1 and was then transferred to Bengaluru FC in summer 2015. He spend two seasons with them with a loan spell for ISL-2 at Delhi Dynamos.

He was resigned by NorthEast United FC during the 2017 ISL draft and made 16 appearances, scoring four goals and amongst them a hattrick against Chennaiyin FC in ISL-4.

Now he moves south to Kerala Blasters, where he hopes to continue to cement his place and also return to the India squad ahead of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
