Kyrgyz FU receives A Level AFC Coaching Convention membership!

The Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU) is the latest Member Association (MA) to be awarded the A Level membership in the widely-acclaimed AFC Coaching Convention for their continuous efforts to further improve coach education in the country.

Under the leadership of Technical Director Anarbek Ormombekov, who is also one of the main instructors of the ‘A’ Diploma coaching course, the KFU has established a well-structured technical strategic plan with a strong emphasis on coach education.

Designed by the Technical Department, the first KFU four-module ‘A’ Diploma coaching course consisting of theoretical sessions, practical sessions and assessments was successfully held from June 1, 2021 until October 30, 2021 with 24 active coaches and assistant coaches from the professional leagues, national teams as well as the Olympic teams taking part in the course.

Additionally, the KFU also organises the AFC and FIFA coaching courses and seminars focusing on sports science, sports management, analytics, fitness, sports medicine and scouting to strengthen the knowledge of tutors and coaches.

KFU President Mederbek Sydykov said: “We are certainly delighted to receive the AFC Coaching Convention A Level membership status. We set a goal to conduct courses at the level that complies with international standards for coach education and the AFC’s acknowledgement shows that we are on the right pathway.

“I believe that the Kyrgyz Football Union will benefit greatly from this, not only in terms of improving and developing coach education, but in general to improve the level of football in our country.

“We would like to express our gratitude to the AFC for their trust and look forward to further cooperation for the benefit of football.”
