Lalrindika Ralte retires as professional footballer!

Former India international midfielder Lalrindika Ralte today, February 12 announced to call it a day as a professional footballer.

29 year old Lunglei-born Lalrindika Ralte, popularly known to the supporters as Dika or Didika, started his career in his native Mizoram before playing for the IFA Academy and the India youth teams.

Didika made his professional debut for Churchill Brothers SC before going on to play for Pailan Arrows, East Bengal Club, Mumbai City FC (on loan), ATK (on loan), before signing for NorthEast United FC.

In summer 2018, Lalrindika Ralte returned to Quess East Bengal and had a strong season for the red-and-gold in the I-League which he went on to captain before being forced out of the club ahead of its ISL debut in the 2020/21 season.

In the last I-League, Didika played for Real Kashmir FC and now calls it a day.

My experience with Didika has been positive since I first met him, while I also signed him in the 2014 ISL draft for Mumbai City FC and he was one of our key players that season.

I regard Didika as one of the best Indian footballers of his generation.
