Lega Serie A opens new Bronx Street Soccer Stadium & Media Centre in New York!

The first Street Soccer USA TVB Park and Media Center powered by Lega Serie A arrives in Claremont Village in the Bronx, NYC.

Lega Serie A takes the social field together with Street Soccer USA to fight inequality and develop an integration project on the American territory that can help the local communities in a concrete way, creating two Street Soccer fields and a Digital Media Center.

On Saturday, May 6, 2023, the ‘Teddy van Beuren Street Soccer Park and Learning Centre’ has been inaugurated at Community School 55 in the South Bronx, New York. The field has been named in memory of Teddy van Beuren, a former board member of Street Soccer USA who passed away in a car accident. The area comprises of two fully branded Street Soccer USA and Lega Serie A pitches.

This initiative aims to create a space that is accessible to the entire local community, where students can learn to play soccer and develop important social and educational skills. The “Calcio Educational” project will be launched, focusing on inclusion and integration, which will provide an opportunity for growth in the media and digital sector of sport for many girls and boys, thanks to the Digital Media Centre powered by Lega Serie A.

The Digital Media Center powered by Lega Serie A has been established to train new generations on the proper use of digital platforms, content creation, and production. The center will also give young people in the area the opportunity to discover new and exciting professional opportunities.

“We are very happy to announce this important initiative that we have developed thanks also to the work done in our New York office – said Lega Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo -. We remain strongly convinced of the educational aspects of sports and how much the values inherent to soccer such as respect, integration, altruism and aggregation can prove fundamental in the growth of new generations. In addition to the Street Soccer camps, through the Digital Media Center financed by Lega Serie A, we will offer girls and boys in the neighborhood an important opportunity for growth that can help them realize themselves from a human and professional point of view and to pursue their dreams in a fast-growing world such as media and digital.”
