Macron has strengthened its presence in the Spanish top flight thanks to a technical sponsorship agreement with LaLiga side Cádiz CF, the Andalusian club which last year marked its 110th anniversary and returned to LaLiga following a 14-year absence. The agreement announced today by Macron and Cádiz will run for six seasons, starting with the 2021/22 season.
Cádiz CF were founded on September 10, 1910 as Mirandilla FC, after a Christian college in the city, with the club only taking on its current name in 1936. The side enjoyed its heyday in the 1980s and 1990s, competing in a Copa del Rey semifinal during this period. Cádiz play in yellow and blue and the club’s crest features the figure of Hercules flanked by two lions, with two columns behind him and the club colours.
As part of the partnership between Macron and Cádiz CF, Macron will design and produce the club’s match kits for the 2021/22 season. The new kits will feature Macron’s trademark style, design, technical attributes, quality and attention to detail, with exclusive, customised graphics set to be used to highlight the history and tradition of the team and the surrounding area.
