With the start of the new season, Calcio Padova and Macron presented the new ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ match kits that the Veneto club will wear during the 2021/22 Italian Serie C championship.
The new ‘Home’ is white with a red knitted polo collar. The red vertical sublimation-printed bands on the sleeves and sides of the shirt are also red. The backneck is personalised with a red label with the club’s logo and the writing CALCIO PADOVA. The Macron Hero is embroidered in red on the right chest, while the Calcio Padova’s coat of arms is on the heart side.
The ‘Away’, inspired by the Padova of the late 1940s, a period in which the Englishman Charles Norman Adcock played, has a white polo collar with red stripes and a three-button closure, and is red with white sleeves edged in red. The backneck is personalised as in the home version and on the inside of the collar is printed in red the phrase ‘For the great desire I had to see fair Padua, nursery of arts, I am arrived … and am to Padua come, as he that leaves – a shallow plash to plunge him in the deep and – with satiety seeks to quench his thirst”. This is the incipit of William Shakespeare’s ‘The Taming of the Shrew’, a play that takes place in Padua, which the English playwright pays homage to in the very first lines of this work.
The Macron Hero is embroidered on the chest in white, with the Padua club crest on the left. The motto AVANTI SCUDATI! is embroidered in white on the back neck.
Both shirts have a Slim Fit fit, the main fabric is Gotex, and the presence of mesh inserts ensures the garment is lightweight and perfectly breathable.
