Madhya Pradesh drub Rajasthan in Sub-Junior Nationals (West Zone)!

Madhya Pradesh drubbed Rajasthan 8-0 in a completely one sided affair, in the U-15 Sub-Junior National for Boys (West Zone) organised by the Goa Football Association (GFA), in collaboration with the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and played at the Duler Stadium in Mapusa on Monday.

Chandr scored a hattrick, Vijender netted a brace while Suresh, Aman and Suraj were the other goal scorers for Madhya Pradesh.

The match started on a very slow pace with Rajasthan managing to trap Madhya Pradesh strikers in their offside trap. Madhya Pradesh jowever were stubborn enough to find the first score and had the first shy at the rival goal through Vijender Kumar crossing the the ball to Chandr Mohan who leaped to take the header however Rajasthan’s keeper Jaitin was instrumental in making a fine save.

Madhya Pradesh scored their first goal in the 17th minute through Suresh Kumar after a beautiful cross by Vishal. Suresh shot the ball over the keeper to open the account for Madhya Pradesh.

MP controlled most of the game hence and scored the second through Chandr. Suraj made a ball recovery in his half before he passed the ball onto Chandr who rammed the ball into the top left corner of the goal.

Vijender Kumar made it 3 for Madhya Pradesh with a fantastic run past two defenders before he calmly placing the ball beyond Rajasthan’s keeper’s reach. The scoreboard read 3-0 at the end of the first half.

Post resumption, Madhya Pradesh were even better than what they were in the previous session. Suresh attempted a shot on target after his side attacked from the refree’s whistle however he missed the target by whiskers.

Minutes later Chandr Mohan scores his second with a brilliant right footed volley in a one on one with the Rajasthan keeper before he completed his hat trick in great style with a brilliant right footed volley which slammed into the top right corner.

Aman netted yet another one for Madhya Pradesh after a clearance by Rajasthan’s defender Nuruddin whose shot hit Aman and sailed went over the goalkeeper. Madhya Pradesh were awarded a spot kick and had yet another opportunity to increase the goal tally from the spot however Pratham’s penalty kissed the crossbar and went out of play.

Aman made a brilliant run down the right flank and skillfully and unselfishly passed the ball to Vijender who made no mistake to burry the ball into the nets to make it 7-0 for Madhya Pradesh. Suraj scored the final goal of the match with a unstoppable long range strike.
