Markus Krösche has agreed a new long-term contract with the supervisory board of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG. The 43-year-old has extended his deal, which was originally due to run until the end of next season, by three years to June 30, 2028.
Krösche has been board member for sport at Eintracht Frankfurt since June 2021. In his first season in charge of sporting matters, the Hessians made history by winning the UEFA Europa League and thereby qualifying for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club’s history. In the following campaign, the Eagles reached the round of 16 in Europe’s premier club competition and also got to the final of the DFB Cup in Berlin in May 2023. Krösche has also overseen the largest transfer revenue in the club’s history.
Philip Holzer, chairman of the Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG supervisory board: “Markus Krösche has become a very important figure for Eintracht and has made a significant contribution to our success in the last few years. By extending his contract, we’re building on the crucial continuity that we value and want to continue in all departments. This is a very strong signal at this stage of the season.”
