Minerva Academy through to Gothia Cup – Round of 32 as unbeaten group champions!

India’s Minerva Academy has been on an absolute roll in the ongoing Gothia Cup also known as the World Youth Cup, and has won their third consecutive match in the tournament. The team has been in exceptional form and has been delivering some truly impressive performances on the field.

Minerva Academy started with back-to-back 3:0 victories in their first two matches and needed a win in the final match to ensure the top spot in their group.

The Team from India holding the flag high on the big stage was lined up against Swedish side IK Sleipner in the third and final group match. The match came no easy but the team delivered on point.

The opening goal came in the third minute of the game which showed the intent and hunger in this Minerva side and the goal-scoring marathon just began.

Soon Minerva Academy took the game to their side and ensured a 4:0 lead at half-time which eventually ended in a thumping 12:0 victory over their opponents.

Jayed and Denish Singh of Minerva Academy got a hattrick each to their names and the performance was a testament to this team’s skills, determination, and teamwork.

Minerva Academy has scored a total of 18 goals in three games with zero goals conceded and has impressed one and all so far in the tournament. The team has displayed excellent teamwork, skills, and determination on the field. They have been playing with a lot of confidence and have been able to deliver some truly impressive performances.

This win has secured their place in the knockout rounds of the tournament which is the round of 32 and fans are eagerly anticipating their next match which is set to take place tomorrow at 3:30pm IST if they manage to win that particular match they move on to the next bigger challenge in the Round of 16, which again takes place tomorrow itself later in the day.
