Minerva Punjab FC bags another silverware; this time Balachur Football Tournament in Punjab!

While the Minerva Punjab FC first team are busy with their hunt for a first I-League title, the Minerva Punjab FC youth development team has been following the footsteps of their seniors as they sealed a second trophy in just 10 days, first the 56th Principal Harbhajan Singh Memorial All-India Football Tournament on February 22 and now the 22nd All India Balachur Open Football Tournament on February 27.

The Minerva Punjab FC reserves coached by Harpreet Bedi and Prateek Mandan featured Minerva Punjab FC Academy products who were put to test as part of their Developmental Programme.

Skippered by Central Defender Arshpreet Singh, the backline remained unbeated throughout the tournament as they defeated Tripari FA with a 2-0 scoreline, courtesy goals scored by Sylla and Harpreet Bedi. The Warriors who were favourite to win the title did not disappoint in the finals as they faced Gadshankar FC, defeating them comfortably with each goals scored by Kaidre and Mabiaa.

Skipper Arshpreet Singh was adjuged as the Man of the Tournament for his stellar performance which helped Minerva Punjab FC bag a cash prize of Rs. 81,000.
