The Mizoram Football Association (MFA) Executive Committee held their first meeting of 2023 on Monday, January 9 at the MFA Office.
MFA Golden Jubilee
The MFA was founded in 1973 and 2023 is its 50th anniversary. MFA Golden Jubilee Celebration Organizing Committee was formed to consider the celebration.
MFA Women’s League
The MFA Women’s League will be held in Aizawl in April. Players will be registered under the AIFF Centralized Registration System. MFA Women’s League Board was formed to ensure the success of women’s football.

Referee Development Programme
MFA will arrange for more referees to be used in Mizoram so that better football referees can be produced in Mizoram. In collaboration with District FAs, referee training will be organized at various places.
Meanwhile, the AIFF will change the refereeing system and the Referee Development Program will be implemented in collaboration with the AIFF.
Inter District Junior Football Boys Championship
Kolasib District Football Association (KDFA) will host the MFA Inter District Junior Boys Football Championship from March. Those born between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2009 are eligible to participate.
MFA Cup
The MFA Cup will be hosted by Khawzawl District Football Association on April 18.
Under 17 & Under 13 League
Mizoram Premier League Under-17 tournament will be played in February. In addition, MFA Under-13 League will be held, which will be played by Naupang League players.
AIFF Beach Soccer Championship & Futsal Championship
The AIFF will hold the National Beach Soccer Championship for the first time from January 26-31, 2023 in Surat, Gujarat. As expected by FIFA, the AIFF will from now on conduct the beach soccer tournament annually.
The AIFF Futsal Club Championship will be held in New Delhi from February 5 onwards.
