The living and playing legend of Mizoram football, Shylo Malswamtluanga is set to play for defending I-League champions Aizawl FC in the 2017/18 season.

32 year old Shylo Malswamtluanga, who is better known as Mama in the Indian football scene, after playing locally was picked up by the Tata Football Academy and was one of their best cadets of that 2002 batch.

He joined East Bengal Club in 2002 and stayed at the red and gold for five years before playing a season each for Salgaocar FC and Mohun Bagan before joining United SC in 2009. He stayed with them until 2013 before returning to East Bengal.

He then played for Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League, switching between then and East Bengal a couple of times. Last couple of seasons Mama played for Bhowanipore FC and Southern Samity in the Calcutta Football League and Second Division League.

Now Shylo Malswamtluanga returns home and will play top level football in his home state of Mizoram for the first time in his career.
