Mizoram Premier League: Chanmari West FC earn first points with a late win!

Last season’s Mizoram Premier League semifinalists Chanmari West FC sealed their first point of MPL6 with a victory over Ramhlun North FC courtesy of a late goal from Lalromawia.

It did not take long for the West Warriors to make their mark on the match when Jacob Lalrawngbawla netted a freekick on the 7th minute. And they almost doubled their lead soon after through Lianzama.

Ramhlun North FC missed a great chance to draw level when Ramdina missed a penalty. But they eventually got their equalizer five minutes later when Remruata took advantage of a defensive error from Hlimtea.

Chanmari West FC went into the second half looking for an equaliser with Jacob Lalrawngbawla and Lianzama missing good opportunities.

And their perseverance paid off when Lalromawia finished off a team move four minutes from time.

Match winner Lalromawia was named man of the match.

Chanmari West FC 2-1 Ramhlun North FC
(C: Jacob Lalrawngbawla 7′, Lalromawia 86′; R: Lalremruata 45′)
