Mizoram Premier League: Dinthar FC & Bethlehem Vengthlang FC share spoils!

Former MPL champions Dinthar FC and last season’s finalists Bethlehem Vengthlang FC battled to a draw in round 3 of the Mizoram Premier League.

Dinthar FC earned their first point of the new season in an entertaining affair while Bethlehem Vengthlang FC remain undefeated in three games.

A lively first half saw chances galore with Samuel and Jackson Ogheneochukchu coming close for Dinthar FC while Rammawia and Nunsanga also spurned chances at the other end.

Bethlehem Vengthlang FC finally broke the deadlock three minutes from halftime with a brilliant long range strike from Laldinliana Varte.

Dinthar FC responded instantly and went into half-time with the momentum on their side after Jackson Ogheneochukchu scored from a corner in stoppage time.

Dinthar FC came out guns blazing in the second half but it was Bethlehem Vengthlang FC who retook the lead when Ramengmawia cooly finished Dinliana’s cross.

Bethlehem Vengthlang FC could not protect their lead again for the second time in the match as Dinthar FC scored from a penalty late on in the match.

Forward Jackson Victor Ogheneochukchu was named man of the match for his brilliant display against their opponent’s backline.
