Mohammedan Sporting Club registered back to back wins in the ongoing 2016/17 AIFF Under-16 Youth League after beating SAI Kolkata 2-1 on Sunday at the Mohammedan Sporting ground on the Kolkata Maidans.
In a evenly contested Kolkata Zonal Round encounter, the Mohammedan Sporting colts drew the first blood through Surajuddin Munshi in the 15th minute only for Mohammad Javed to restore parity for the visitors in the 47th minute. But Surajuddin’s 85th minute strike from the spot settled the issue for the Murari Kar-coached Black Panthers.
A brilliant display of attacking football earned Surajuddin the Man of the Match award. The youngster received a trophy and cash award of Rs 1,000.
