Bethlehem Vengthlang FC earned their first point of the Mizoram Premier League campaign after equalising in the second half againts newcomers Chawnpui FC in the opening match of round 4 at AR Lammual.
Chawnpui FC took the lead seconds before half-time through a free-kick from maestro Vanlalthanga. The newly promoted team were the better team in the first period with David Laltlansanga and Lalruatfela missing chances to score.
Bethlehem Vengthlang FC improved in the second half and they got their goal on the 77th minute in an even battle. A fine corner delivery from Laldinliana Varte was met by the head of C. Lalrintluanga who sealed a much needed goal for his team.
Both teams searched for the winner late on but they were able to cancel each other out at both ends.
