Mumbai City FC fined by AIFF Disciplinary Committee for ISL-3 semifinal bust up!

The All India Football Federation Disciplinary Committee has fined Mumbai City FC Rs 500,000 (5 Lakhs INR) for ‘Team Misconduct’ under its Disciplinary Code Article 53B for failing to control its players and officials which lead to scuffle after the final whistle during Hero ISL 2016 Match no 59 (Semi-final 2nd Leg) played between Mumbai City FC vs Atlético de Kolkata at the Mumbai Football Arena on December 13, 2016.

The AIFF Disciplinary Committee has also served match suspension notice to multiple players and team official of Mumbai City FC for the on-field fracas.

• Mumbai City FC player Thiago Dos Santos Cunha has been suspended for 4 matches and fined Rs 300,000 (3 Lakhs INR) for post-match misconduct under Article 49 ‘Misconduct Against Opponents’.
• Mumbai City FC player Facundo Cardozo has been suspended for 3 matches for post-match misconduct under Article 58 ‘Offensive Behaviour and Fair Play’.
• Mumbai City FC official Bhushan Tandel has been suspended for 5 matches and fined Rs 200,000 (2 Lakhs INR) for post match misconduct against match officials under Article 58 ‘Offensive Behaviour and Fair Play’ and Article 60 ‘Threats’

The AIFF Disciplinary Committee had earlier fined Atlético de Kolkata Rs 700,000 (7 Lakhs INR) for ‘Team Misconduct’ and suspended player Juan Belencoso for 2 matches with a Rs 300,000 (3 Lakhs INR) fine in its notice dates December 17, 2016.
