Mumbai City FC have announced that the Islanders have reached an agreement with Odisha FC for the loan of 24-year-old midfielder Vinit Rai until the end of the 2021/22 season.
The Assam-born midfielder joins the Islanders immediately in the January transfer window.
Vinit Rai has played 70 ISL matches so far in his career representing Kerala Blasters, Delhi Dynamos and Odisha FC. He has been a part of the Bhubaneswar-based side since its inception in 2019 and was selected as one of the captains in the ongoing eighth season of the ISL.
Vinit Rai, a graduate of the Tata Football Academy, had also represented former I-League champions Dempo SC and Minerva Punjab FC earlier in his career.
For Mumbai City FC the signing of Vinit Rai gives them an additional midfielder option.
