Mumbai City FC retains midfielder Leo Costa of Brazil for ISL-4!

Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC have retained Brazilian attacking midfielder Leo Costa ahead of the upcoming ISL – Season 4.

31 year old São José dos Campos-born Leonardo ‘Léo’ Fabricio Soares da Costa started his career with Santo André in his native São Paulo state, where he also made his professional debut. He then spend a year on loan with São Bernardo before going to Paulista. He then joined Czech Republic side 1.FC Brno, but returned to Brazil after less than six months to join União São João.

He then played for Linense before going on a odessey of local São Paulo state sides in São Bernardo, Vila Nova, Rio Branco, Guarani and Rio Claro. In 2014 he made a big move to Brazilian Série A side EC Vitória, but he didn’t stay long and joined Portuguesa a few months later. Thereafter he played for Ponte Preta and again Rio Claro before joining Mumbai City FC in last seasons ISL.

Leo Costa is comfortable playing multiple roles as an attacking midfielder, winger, as well as a striker with an eye for the goal giving options to coach Alexandre Guimaraes.
